Game Journalism

James has written over 150 published articles for six different websites since August 2006. He is currently employed as a news writer, games reviewer and previewer, and a features article writer. His residence in the greater Los Angeles area places him in the center of hundreds of different game developers, publishers and conventions.

Fiction Writings

After completing Halo 2 and being disappointed by its ending, James began writing his interpretation of it publicly. The first to do this on the forums, James quickly became a hit and amassed a large crowd of regulars awaiting his weekly chapters. Soon after James realized that something more could be done with this, as it was nearly a full fledged novel, and spent the next year editing and stylizing the fan fiction into a would-be book. With the help of Mike Sirota, a San Diegan editor, the novel was slimmed down from 100,000 words to roughly 80,000 and was ready for publication. Microsoft Licensing denied the rights to publish. After posting the fully revitalized novel, Halo: The Ark, James began posting chapters to the follow-up and began other ventures. Currently, he writes short stories for fun in his spare time and is writing a script for the Atlantis project.
